Are you planning on purchasing a new or used system (Laptop or any other)? Then this post is for you. In this post, I will expose the two different ways to check any system specifications, known as system configuration, before making a purchase: the simple and the best way.

Majorly, This post is for the newbies who don't know much about system and wish to get a new or used laptop for themselves. 

Before purchasing any system, it is necessary you check the specifications of the system you wish to buy. E.g., the processor speed, Random Access Memory (RAM), Hard Disk Drive (HDD), Video card memory, Shared Graphics Memory, the model of the system, the graphics display, the screen size, and other related.

There are two different video cards as far as system is concerned. The AMD and the Intel Graphics Display.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is majorly used for gaming systems and it is suitable for those running a game center, It can also be used for the general system works. One of the disadvantages of AMD systems is that they generate much heat. It is required that AMD systems are kept in a cool environment.

The Intel Systems are good for businesses, and companies, and sometimes also good for gaming depending on the allocated video memory.

So these are the types of graphics display we have. There are other ones, but these are the most common ones used by companies, businesses, and individuals.

Read below as I expose the best and simplest way to check system specifications before purchasing.

Before purchasing any system, know the type of system you, what to use for, and how strong it is.

To check any system specification;

SIMPLE WAY TO CHECK SYSTEM SPECIFICATION

1. On the system, click on the Windows Logo on the system keyboard or click the one on the screen as shown in the image below.

2. Search for About. On the pop-up, you will see "About your PC", click on it, and it will open as the image below. Here you will see all the information about the system you plan to purchase. The memory, graphics display, the RAM, the HDD, and other information. See the image below

So, this is the simple way to check any system specifications before purchasing.

BEST WAY TO CHECK SYSTEM SPECIFICATION

This method will expose more about the system specifications. Any information that wasn't on the above method, will be shown using this method. This method is a hidden method. Not all system users are aware of this method. 

To see all the information about any system, follow this method.

1. On the system keyboard, press the Windows logo and R together. This will open a "Run Box" as displayed in the image below.

2. On this Run Box, type in this code; dxdiag, and hit the enter key. Wait for it to open the complete system diagram called "DirectX". This diagram will show you the complete System specifications, the display specifications, the sound specifications, the input specifications, and other specifications. See the image below.

These are the two ways you can check any system specifications before purchasing.

CONCLUSION

When purchasing any system, your focus should be on the RAM Size, the processor speed, the video card, and display graphics. These features help the system to run slow or fast when used.
